The mission of the Association is to allow Heads of IB schools in India to collaborate, support & represent the needs of the community through transformative educational practices.
All authorised IB schools in India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Bhutan are eligible to join the association. IB Candidate Schools are also invited to join as Associate Members against the Annual Fee. IB Schools in Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Bhutan are non-fee-paying members but are invited to be a part of the association. The association works at regional levels to promote collaboration between various IB Schools in the region. At present, we operate through three regional chapters. Each region has its own executive committee and member schools.

A momentous occasion as the Association of Heads of IB World Schools in India gets officially recognised by the International Baccalaureate Organisation to become the inclusive Association of Heads of IB World Schools in India and South Asia. An agreement in this regard was signed at the IB Global conference in Adelaide on 19th March 2023 between our President Capt. Rohit Sen Bajaj and Haif Bannayan Global Director Business Development at the IB in the presence..
The deep-rooted commitment to the IB mission and philosophy of the founding Executive Committee that served for two terms has set the foundation for a robust community that creates opportunities for meaningful discourse among IB educators and implementation of best educational practices within the IB paradigm. With an aim at providing support and strengthening leadership in IB World Schools in India, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Bangladesh and Nepal; the Executive Members organize conferences, workshops and facilitate meetings where Heads of authorised and candidate IB Schools can assist, support and mentor newly authorised and candidate schools in their IB Journey.
